Chairman of the State Administration Council Senior General Min Aung Hlaing gave a message saying that the local people from the areas where peace cannot be restored yet are now running out of their patience over unrest and violent attacks.

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing included that message in his speech which was sent at the 76th Anniversary of Shan State Day.

The Army Chief said that the local people living in unpeaceful areas are detesting #terrorist acts and devastations.

Currently, the majority of Shan State is peaceful, prosperous, and free from unrest and violence as well as fighting. If the remaining parts of the northeast region of Shan State can promote more #peace and stability, the whole of Shan State will be able to enjoy peace and tranquility and the development in socioeconomic life of the ethnic national people.

Upholding the expectation for perpetuation of peace, the military operations have been suspended for five years till the end of this year with the anticipation of restoring the perpetual peace. By avoiding fighting and battles which are not answers for peace, they have opened up the negotiation channels for peace talks and dialogues.
