Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said that the Thandwe domestic airport will be upgraded to host the international flights for promoting tourism.

He underlined it during the meeting with entrepreneurs from hotels and travel sector at Pristine Mermaid Resort in Thandwe, Rakhine State on January 20.

Entrepreneurs proposed for upgrading #Thandwe_airport and Yangon-Ngapali road for uplifting both inbound and outbound travelling.

Senior General also discussed that the State will provide necessary supports for the innovation of the airport. The businessmen reported Senior General that fewer flight schedules have been decreasing the number of entering tourists.

With respect to it, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing suggested to cooperate between aviation and tourism sectors to run the flights daily for the convenience of the travelers.
